When it comes to full body restorative care, there is no need to cut corners. Synergy Wellness& BodyCare offers facials, massages, lash services, yoga classes, and everything else you could possibly need to improve your health and wellness.
Frances Billow, Air Force Veteran and owner of Synergy Wellness& BodyCare, talks about the elevated experience they offer customers. Since opening in February 2018, Synergy Wellness& BodyCare has been revitalizing community members with a variety of treatments. “We’re really focused on the whole wellness aspect of taking care of yourself,” Frances shares.
From facials to fitness, their services are guaranteed to enhance your wellness journey–whatever that may look like. Enjoy restorative massage therapy, cupping, lash services, brow services, personal training, nutrition coaching, and much more. “It is a whole person body concept that we’re trying to adapt,” Frances says.
In her commitment to the entire wellness experience, Frances welcomed a yoga instructor to the team. With their restorative style yoga and meditation, you will journey closer toward total mind and body peace. Restorative salt yoga sessions are held in their new salt therapy room complete with a salt generator and a whole wall of Himalayan bricks.
Frances talks about the benefits and convenience of their all-encompassing services. Whether visiting for a massage or lash extension, she says, “Customers like the fact that they can come to one place. It’s the same set of people that they’re getting to know and getting comfortable with rather than several locations.”
With every kind of treatment imaginable, Synergy Wellness & BodyCare is your one stop shop for all things health and wellness. “We have five full-time massage therapists including myself,” Frances says. “We have a yoga instructor, an esthetician, and a lash technician who also does reflexology.”
Frances speaks of the staff and the warmth with which they treat each customer. “Every single person that works there is extremely friendly and welcoming,” she says honestly. “They go out of their way to make sure your experience is the best it can be.”
Getting to know your massage therapist or yoga instructor enhances your overall experience, sothey emphasizethe development of friendships between staff and their customers. “We feel like people aremore than just a client,”Frances says. “We try to make itmore of a family-like environment. We purposely put 30 minutes between clients so that we have the opportunity to talk to them a little more.”
Clients enjoy the extra time spent cultivating relationships with the people of Synergy Wellness& BodyCare. Even if it is your first time in, the tranquil environment and friendly faces will make you feel right at home.
Frances talks about her career in the Air Force and the amazing opportunities it afforded her before becoming a business owner. “I was in for 19 years and 7 months,” she recalls. “My first year I joined as a weapons simulator, which is radar; my first duty station was in Panama City, Florida.” As this station was a school location, Frances trained other Airmen to do radar. She worked as a weapons simulator for a year before pursuing musical opportunities.
“I found out about a group called Tops In Blue, a Vegas style musical group that travels around the world,” she says. After a successful audition, Frances joined the group and spent her second year in the Air Force traveling with Tops In Blue...and then she cross-trained into the Air Force band.
During her time in the Air Force band, Frances was stationed in Massachusetts, Japan, Warner Robins, and Illinois. She enjoyed bringing music to people’s ears in different parts of the world. While stationed at Warner Robins Air Force base, Frances experienced unmatched comradery that she works to emulate as a business owner. “This town is very supportive of military and Warner Robins Air Force Base,” she testifies. “Because you are in a military community, they understand what you’re going through.” Touched by the kindness of others while she served our country, Frances mirrors this undying support in the practice of her business. She has partnered with several prior military members to bring especially tailored care to the military families of Houston County.
“[We have] two Air Force Veterans, one Marine, and one Navy,” Frances says of the Synergy team. “We feel like we’re able to connect a little bit more to the client than most people can. To be more understanding and welcoming to this community–because it is a military community.”
In her time with the Air Force band, Frances toured alongside performers like Daughtry, Brad Paisley, and Kelly Clarkson. But though it was an invigorating experience, she values her work as a local business owner. “I would much rather be here making a life and being involved in the community thandoing any of that stuff. The health and wellness that we’re able to create and provide means more to me than [anything].”
However, her love of music remains an important part of her life. Frances has been singing in the A to Z band locally for seven years and has enjoyed every moment.
While treating yourself to a massage on special occasions is always a nice idea, Frances explains why regularity isimportant. “We’re really trying to get people to understand that the consistency is going to help your body improve how you feel and then maintain it. But we know it’s expensive.”
To ease the cost for customers who need frequent massages, Frances created the V.I.P. program. After paying full price for your first massage, you will receive discounted V.I.P. pricing on all future massages so long as you keep a standing monthly appointment on the books. Over half of their clients take advantage of this program that also includes V.I.P. pricing for all family members and gift card purchases.“
Our second year we won best massage for the local telegraph contest,” Frances says proudly. More recently, they out beat 15 competitors in Best Spa for Macon and Warner Robins. “That’s been the biggest surprise, that we were received so well within the community so quickly. We were able to establish a solid business base.”
Through the business, Frances has orchestrated new friendships between community members and has made valuable friendships for herself. “To be able to build that in the community has been a lovely surprise for me,” she says.
To top it all off, Frances has inspired her immediate family to help others through similar avenues. Her husband became a personal trainer and is finishing massage therapy school to begin working at Synergy Wellness & BodyCare. One of Frances’ daughters is a licensed therapist working at Synergy Wellness & BodyCare while another daughter is in North Carolina planning on attending massage therapy school. “My family has a contributing effect in this town that we live in and grew up in. I think that’s the best thing we can get out of this.”
For Frances, there is no greater feeling than knowing she has helped someone. Every time a customer shares the improvements they have seen since coming to Synergy Wellness & BodyCare, Frances’ heart swells with joy. “It means the world to me to see someone say something about how much better they feel now.”
At Synergy Wellness & BodyCare, you will experience healing breakthroughs while supporting your local military veterans all at once. What could make you feel better than that?
